Charles Thurstan Shaw (1914-2013) was an English archaeologist. These 2 volumes collect his findings from the excavations of Igbo-Ukwu which revealed a sophisticated 9th century culture which crafted skilled bronze and copper objects of unique artistic style, together with highly decorated pottery and other riches.
Minor marks and discolouration to cloth with a minor scratch to the tail of the lower board of volume 2. Minor foxing and soiling. Very Good Condition.
